Christ Church held its annual bonfire party on the evening of Remembrance Sunday, when the rain stopped just in time for the planned start. A good-sized crowd turned out, hot dogs, baked potatoes and parkin were downed voraciously and an absolutely superb firework display was enjoyed – all before the rain came back!
The British Legion service of Remembrance at Christ Church elicited a full church – all seats taken downstairs with some standing, and the galleries full too.
